Words and Music by Mike Cionni
If you look into the pocket of your coat and find a neat handwritten note
That says “I Still Think About You”
Disregard and discard it for me please
Cause time has passed, and honestly, if someone asked
What was on my mind right then, I’d most likely say nothing
The only catch with loneliness is that you learn to be
Your own best friend, You can depend on me.
Day to day the pieces slowly fade away until I’m struck by your display
And it all comes right back in
All at once, cerebral rush, into my head
But it’s replaced by all the days I’ve laid to waste
Filling up the empty space, my polluted waters yeah
The only catch with loneliness is that you learn to be
Your own best friend, you can depend on me
When I do see you again will I feel like I did back then
Or are you likely to forget, pretending like we’ve never met
One another
If you’re cleaning out your closet and you find a folded letter, never signed
That says “I Still Think About You”
It’s not me, it could anybody
Know that everyday a moment’s set aside
It’s inherently implied that I still think about you
The only catch with loneliness is that you learn to be
Your own best friend, you can depend on me
When I do see you again will I feel like I did back then
Or are you likely to forget, pretending like we’ve never met
Will there ever come a time when I am gone from your mind
Or are you likely to forget, pretending like we’ve never met
One another.

Mike! Your songs always get stuck in my head, I hear harmonies, and I feel inspired to write myself. I can’t wait to hear you put out a CD, I can already hear so many parts on these songs. Keep it up man.
